What is PIMAREE?
PIMAREE is a biennial scouting program between the scouts of Catalina Council (southern Arizona) and Sonora,
Mexico.
It is a camporee-style event, where scouts from both countries compete and share scouting and cultural traditions.
Each
country alternates in hosting PIMAREE. Catalina Council, BSA will host this event in 2009 at Ft. Huachuca and the ASOCIACIÓN DE SCOUTS
DE MÉXICO, A.C. (ASM) will host the following PIMAREE in 2011.
PIMAREE was started in 1960 and is the oldest scouting activity of its type in the country (a BSA council and a foreign council camping together).
